To win this badge you need to consistently replace any urge to persecute with a compassionate response for a full week. Follow the five-step Compassion Switch: 1. Spot the trigger – notice the exact thought or situation that sparks a persecutory impulse. 2. Pause and breathe – take a 4‑7‑8 breath to calm the nervous system before reacting. 3. Name the feeling – label the underlying emotion (e.g., fear, jealousy) to reduce its power. 4. Inject empathy – spend three minutes visualizing the other person’s perspective and silently affirm their humanity. 5. Take a kind action – deliver a genuine compliment, offer help, or express gratitude toward the person. After each encounter, journal the trigger, the step you used, and the outcome. Over seven days, the habit loop rewires your brain, making compassion the default response and eliminating persecution habits.
