To win this badge you need to break the habit of Quelling Options and replace it with a habit of expanding choices. First, spot a decision where you usually say “that’s the only way” and write it down. Next, run a five‑minute Curiosity Sprint to list at least three fresh alternatives, no matter how wild. Then, draw a simple Option Map or fill a Decision Matrix to make those alternatives concrete. Choose one of the new ideas, run a mini‑experiment for a week, and journal how it felt and what you learned. Finally, mark the win with a tiny celebration – a sticker, a dance, or a favorite treat – and decide whether to keep the new path. Follow these five rubrics to prove you’ve mastered the skill: 1. Identify and name the quelling habit. 2. Generate three+ alternatives via a Curiosity Sprint. 3. Visualize options with a map or matrix. 4. Test one option and record results. 5. Celebrate the learning and integrate the best choice.
Benefits
You’ll spot the moments you automatically shut down alternatives, create at least three fresh options in five minutes, and run a quick experiment to see which works best. This builds a habit of expanding choices, boosts creative confidence, and turns decisions into learning opportunities.
